Thousands of workers are made ill by hazardous substances each year. Why? Because employers aren’t taking effective measures to control exposure and protect the health and safety of their workers.
All UK employers have a legal duty of care to the health and safety of their employees. Workers too have a responsibility to look after their work environment and to protect their fellow colleagues from hazardous substances.
Are you under the COSHH?
COSHH is the law that requires employers to control substances hazardous to health. Under the COSHH Regulations 2002, employers are responsible for providing a safe workplace and putting procedures in place to protect workers from hazardous substances.
To help keep workers safe, we have put together a toolkit for employers and employees to share in their workplace. Our Under the COSHH toolkit is designed to make workers aware of the hazardous substances associated to their work, and provide advice on what to do to help prevent ill-health and minimise the risk of accidents at work.
You can download and share our Under The COSHH toolkit by clicking on the download button above, or by downloading each piece individually below.Â
Why not share our toolkit with your fellow colleagues and employers to make sure they are under the COSHH too?
