The Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group (GMAVSG) provides advice to individuals and families who have been affected by an asbestos-related disease. The group can offer support either face-to-face or by telephone.
The charity provides support to those living in the Greater Manchester area, Derbyshire, Cheshire and Lancashire.
GMAVSG campaigns to see better funding for medical research and treatment, fairer benefits and compensation, the removal of asbestos from places of work and leisure, and an international ban on asbestos.
Working with Thompsons, GMAVSG raises awareness and takes action against asbestos, campaigning for the removal of asbestos from schools and public buildings. Thompsons’ solicitors also provide specialist legal support to victims and their families.
