The stress of working

Research by the Health and Safety Executive has found that 12.8 million working days were lost in 2018/19 due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety (...).

Limit on claims

The Limitation Act says that contract and statutory claims to recover sums taken as unauthorised deductions from wages are limited to six years from when the claim is brought, unless another statutory period of limitation applies (,,,).

Moral right

Section 10 of the Equality Act states that a philosophical belief can amount to the protected characteristic of religion and belief. In Gray v Mulberry Company (Design) Ltd, the Court of Appeal held that dismissing an employee for refusing to sign a copyright agreement, which contravened her “moral right” to own the copyright of her creative work, could not constitute a philosophical belief for the purpose of section 10 (...).
