Kirsty offers support to her local asbestos support group, the Derbyshire Asbestos Support Team (DAST) and other asbestos charities.  Â
When not at work, Kirsty enjoys singing in a choir, reading and spending time with her family.Â
Kirsty's case experience
- Kirsty secured £180,000 in compensation for an 82-year-old man who developed mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos whilst working for British Rail in the late 1950s and 1960s.  The settlement was agreed on the basis that should private medical treatment, including immunotherapy, be recommended by his treating oncologist after the date of settlement, the defendant would pick up the cost of this in addition to the agreed compensation.  Â
- KRW agreed a settlement of £225,000 for a 79-year-old man who was diagnosed with mesothelioma. Kirsty’s client had worked for British Rail in Derby as an Apprentice in Electrical Fitting before qualifying as an Electrician there. The settlement brought some financial security at an emotional time for her client.  Â
