David joined Thompsons in 2022 and works for our employment rights team in the South-West and Wales region.  

Before joining Thompsons, David had over 10 years of experience which included working in private practice and in-house working for a local authority. His experience covers a broad spectrum of employment law matters such as discrimination and unfair dismissal cases to multi-party equal pay claims.  

David has provided training for our trade union clients and he has also provided talks on employment law issues at client seminar and training events.  

Working for Thompsons provides David with a strong platform to exercise his commitment to supporting workers’ rights. David takes pride in striving to deliver positive outcomes for clients, helping to make a positive impact upon their lives.  

Outside of the workplace, David is often busy spending time with his young family. When he does get the chance outside of this, David enjoys travelling, music, keeping fit and following the trials and tribulations of Everton football club.  

 

David’s case experience includes:- 

 

  • Securing a Judgment for a client of over £90,000.00 on a disability discrimination and unfair dismissal case; 
  • Reaching a combined settlement of over £200,000.00 for four clients in relation to a contentious TUPE matter; and  
  • Securing a Judgment for a client of £9,500.00 in relation to an unlawful deduction from wages and holiday pay claim. Â
