What is the Thompson Foundation?
The Thompson Foundation was launched in 2015 to mark the retirement of our esteemed colleague, David Thompson.
The Thompson Foundation was set up to mark an important milestone in the history of Thompsons Solicitors: the departure of the final family member of our original founder – and David’s Grandfather - W.H Thompson.
The Thompson Foundation preserves the firm’s links with the Thompson family and ensures our unique, continued commitment to trade union members continues.
During his tenure, David made a huge contribution to Thompsons Solicitors, and we are thrilled that he remains connected to the firm via the Thompson Foundation.
David Thompson, said: “I am proud that The Thompson Foundation will underpin the firm’s continued commitment to the trade union and labour movement, provide bursaries to support aspiring trade union lawyers and hold an annual lecture by an eminent figure on issues concerning trade unions.”
